Effective communication training can be used to resolve past traumas, act effectively in the present, and face future life failures. Test anxiety, as an important educational problem and one of the destructive factors in students' adjustment, affects millions of students worldwide annually. And it reduces their academic performance. The main purpose of this study is to "study the effectiveness of effective communication training on reducing test anxiety among female elementary school students in Dashtestan County". The research method of this research is experimental (interventional). The statistical population of the research is all female students in the fourth and fifth grades studying in girls' primary schools in Dashtestan city in the academic year 1403, numbering 2150 people. In the next stage, 120 students were randomly selected and test anxiety questionnaires were distributed and completed among them. After that, 60 subjects with the highest anxiety scores were listed and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. In the last stage, the experimental group was intervened. The interventions were carried out in 7 60-minute sessions for the experimental group and at the end, a post-test was administered to the two groups. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the data. In summary, the research findings after controlling for the pre-test effect using the analysis of covariance method for the experimental and control groups show that effective communication training has reduced the exam anxiety of elementary school students. (P < 0.05, F = 94.67) Conclusion: It can be said that effective communication training has a positive effect on reducing anxiety. The effect size for reducing exam anxiety is equal to 624/, which shows that effective communication training has explained 62.4% of the variance of the exam anxiety variable of elementary school students.
