The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between parenting style in the family and psychological well-being among students of the Faculty of Psychology of the Islamic Azad University of Mallard. The method used in this study was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection was descriptive and correlational. In this study, the statistical population of the present study consisted of all students of the Faculty of Psychology of Mallard Islamic Azad University who were studying in 2020-2021 and among them, using Morgan table and multi-stage cluster sampling method, a sample of 362 people was selected and a questionnaire was provided to them. In order to collect information, two questionnaires of Bamrind (1991) parenting style and Reef Psychological Welfare Questionnaire (1980) were used. In order to measure the reliability of the questionnaires, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used, the value of which was higher than 0.7 for both questionnaires; Content validity was also used to assess validity, for which the questionnaires were approved by relevant experts. Analysis of information obtained from the questionnaires was performed through SPSS software in two descriptive and inferential sections (Pearson correlation and multivariate regression). Findings showed that there is a relationship between parenting style in the family and students' psychological well-being. In other words, authoritative parenting style has a positive and significant relationship with psychological well-being in students; Authoritarian parenting style has a negative and significant relationship with psychological well-being in students and also casual parenting style has a negative and significant relationship with psychological well-being in students.
