Architecture plays a fundamental role in the preservation and formation of cultural identity in societies, particularly in Iran. Isfahan Province, with its rich historical heritage and exquisite architectural works, serves as a prominent example of the impact of architecture on cultural identity. This study investigates how architecture influences the preservation and formation of cultural identity in this province. The primary aim of this research is to analyze and identify architectural elements that contribute to the preservation and formation of cultural identity in Isfahan Province. Furthermore, this study also explores the opportunities and challenges present in enhancing and preserving this cultural identity. Using a descriptive-analytical method based on field and library data, the research analyzes the impact of historical buildings, mosques, and public spaces on the cultural identity of the city. Case studies were selected to allow for a more comprehensive analysis of the architectural impacts on cultural identity. The data analysis indicates that the architectural elements of Isfahan, including tile decorations, brickwork, and the design of public spaces, have played a crucial role in shaping the rich cultural identity of this city. However, challenges such as the influence of new architectural styles and the effects of globalization may lead to an identity crisis; therefore, protecting this rich architectural heritage for future generations is essential.
