Abstract:   (8 Views)
Throughout human history, various thinkers have discovered and introduced a number of divine laws from their own perspectives. These are laws that directly influence both the universe and all aspects of human life. The first objective of the present study is to identify the eleven divine laws as well as the seven Hermetic laws. The second objective is to examine how these eleven divine laws and seven Hermetic laws can be applied to human individual and social life in order to produce positive outcomes for human mental health. The eleven divine laws are as follows: the Law of Emptiness, the Law of Flow and Movement, the Law of Order, the Law of Abundance, the Law of Purity, the Law of Early Rising, the Law of Togetherness, the Law of Harmony, the Law of Diversity, the Law of Karma, and the Law of Love and Affection. The seven Hermetic laws are as follows: the Principle of Mentalism, the Principle of Correspondence, the Principle of Vibration, the Principle of Polarity, the Principle of Rhythm, the Principle of Cause and Effect, and the Principle of Gender. In the therapeutic intervention based on the eleven divine laws and the seven Hermetic laws, clients are asked to record in a table the positive and negative consequences of observing and failing to observe each of these laws. An eight-week period is allocated for clients to gradually implement the eleven divine laws and the seven Hermetic laws in their lives. In the second session, the therapist administers the 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) as a pretest. In the eighth session, a posttest is administered to assess the effectiveness of the therapeutic intervention. Four months later, the therapist administers a follow-up assessment to the client. Therefore, this study proposes two novel therapeutic approaches in the field of psychotherapy, which should be empirically tested and scientifically validated by researchers in the field.
