The present study was conducted with the aim of identifying indicators, components and dimensions of philosophical mindset among professors of Islamic Azad Universities in Tehran. This research was applied in terms of purpose, and also, in terms of data type, qualitative, and in terms of data collection time, it was cross-sectional, and in terms of data collection method or the nature and method of the research, it was meta-composite. The studied community included the theoretical foundations and relevant background of domestic (1402-1391) and foreign (2013-2023) databases. The sample size was systematically excluded based on the prism model flow chart and purposive sampling method. The data collection tool was library documents. In order to calculate the validity of the 27-item checklist based on the prism model, and to calculate the reliability, the Cohen's Kappa coefficient method was used. The method of data analysis was thematic analysis (basic, organizing and inclusive themes). The findings showed that the philosophical mindset among university professors has four dimensions of awareness and concentration, creativity and innovation, connection with culture and art, values and ethics, and the dimension of awareness and concentration has three components of mastering philosophical knowledge with 4 indicators. Having a unique point of view with 3 indicators was the ability to convey concepts with 3 indicators. The dimension of creativity and innovation had three components: innovative thinking with 4 indicators, connection between disciplines with 3 indicators, critical thinking with 4 indicators. Next was the connection with culture and art with a component of cultural thinking with 1 index. Also, the dimension of values and ethics had four components of ethical thinking with 3 indicators, ethical research with 15 indicators, interaction with values with 11 indicators and moral abilities with 9 indicators.
