Abstract: (249 Views)
The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing frustration tolerance and its components in men with addiction and healthy men. The current research is of a causal-comparative type. The statistical population included all healthy and addicted men who referred to Addicts Anonymous in East Tehran Province. Who were selected by simple random sampling of men with addiction and healthy men, the sample group included 92 people. The research tool included the failure tolerance questionnaire (Harrington, 2005). Data analysis was done using MANOVA and post hoc ANOVA statistical test. Data analysis showed that frustration tolerance and its components (emotional intolerance, discomfort intolerance, progress, competence) are different in the two groups at the desired level (p<0.05). Based on the findings, it can be stated that the frustration tolerance is higher in healthy men than in men with addiction. Therefore, due to the high prevalence of social harms such as low level of education, unemployment and affecting the family center in people, the need for targeted intervention and planning to prevent and reduce the complications of this problem becomes necessary.
